Kimya Dawson, formerly of The Moldy Peaches, put out a call for Austintites to set her up a show in Austin while she was in town for the Austin Film Festival's showing of the movie Juno, to which she lent her musical talents to. I knew my friend Lizzie had an independent booking agency, so we got things together to have a great show set up for Kimya Dawson in Austin. She booked the show, I designed the flyers, and the two of us promoted the show. Night of the show, Kimya had a packed house full of eager ears.
